For three days, the largest show on naval defense and technologies, maritime security and safety opens its doors in Paris. It takes place once every two year for now fifty years and it is considered by major players of this industry as the place to be, the benchmark exhibition in their activity.

Over 25,000 people are expected to attend this year, from over 100 countries. Amongst them are expected over 25 Navy Chiefs of Staff and dozens of navy delegations. Nearly 500 exhibitors are there; amongst them visitors can attend meetings in the large booths of India, Australia, the USA, Germany, Italy (with a massive presence as always), Israel, and, of course, numerous French companies.

The leading actors of the naval industry are there : Naval group, Rafael, Altran, Leonardo, Hutchinson, Hyundai Heavy Industries, Damen, CNIM, Babcock international, ECA Group, Eaton, Fincantieri, Lürssen  Yachts and so on.

The aerospace industry is also present to supply aircrafts, helicopters and UAVs. Airbus, Safran and Dassault have a booth there. Many large companies cumulate activities in the naval industry as well as defense industry, energy, rail, transportation, aerospace industries at once.

Innovation is a key aspect of the show, it is present during the speeches of the key note speakers, on major players show cases and presentations but also with several booth dedicated to small companies or even start-up companies showing of innovating services and products, such as SEAIR (France), FTSH2O (USA), Internest (France), Iceye (Finland) or the small but booming shipyard Bord à Bord (France).

Visitors are both civilians and military, interested in all naval activities from shipyards to radio communication, energy or water supply, safety and cyber-security aboard, maintenance and spare parts supply (MCO).
